Follow our simple tips before you tweak and change to your taste.

Step 1 – empty your Meal Pack into a microwave-safe bowl or Huel cup

Pour the full pouch into a microwave-safe bowl or your Huel cup. Before adding water, flip the pack over and check the instructions — different flavors use different amounts of water, so the number on the back is always your starting point. Make sure the bowl is big enough to handle bubbling during cooking.

Step 2 – add the right amount of water and stir well

Add the exact amount of cold water listed on your pack (many use around 3/4 cup, but always follow the instructions). Stir straight away, getting right into the corners and lifting from the bottom so there are no dry pockets hiding under the surface. If you want more precision, you can measure the water — 1 cup is roughly 8 fl oz.

Step 3 – microwave in two bursts, then let it rest for at least 7 minutes

Loosely cover your bowl with a microwave-safe plate to prevent splatter and help trap the heat. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir well. Microwave for 1 more minute (this guide assumes a 1200W microwave — yours may differ).

When it’s done, keep it covered and forget about it for at least 7 minutes. This is when the noodles and rice cook. Uncover, stir again, and taste. Still firm? Re-cover and rest for another minute. Too thick? Add a small splash of hot water and stir until it looks right for you.

Nailed it? Now you're ready for our Pro Tips

Adjust the water. A small splash more can loosen things up, or an extra minute covered can thicken it back down.

Cover loosely. Trapping steam keeps the heat where it needs to be so everything cooks through properly.

Add extras. Herbs, hot sauce, extra veggies, or your favorite protein are easy ways to boost flavor and make it your own.
